Lancée fin 1992, la Mini "The Italian Job" était une série limitée produite par Rover en très petit nombre et disponible exclusivement sur les marchés britannique et italien. Elle a été créée pour célébrer le 25e anniversaire du film de 1969 "The Italian Job", dont les voitures vedettes étaient trois Mini Mk1 blanches, rouges et bleues. 750 unités ont été produites pour le marché italien et 1000 pour le marché britannique (source : Rover).

Elles sont aujourd'hui assez rares à trouver et, de plus, très souvent dans un état qui n'est pas d'origine. Rover a produit un badge spécifique pour ce modèle, visible dans une position classique sur le capot. L'insigne reprend la forme du logo Rover et se compose des mots "The Italian Job" avec les deux drapeaux anglais et italien. Les bandes du capot sont noires avec deux fines bandes blanches.
Sur ce modèle, elles n'ont pas été appliquées après la peinture en raison du goût du propriétaire.

L'édition limitée de la Mini "The Italian Job" n'était disponible qu'en quatre couleurs : Flame Red, White Diamond, British Racing Green et le rare Electric Blue. Il n'était pas possible de la commander avec un toit blanc ou, d'une manière générale, dans une autre couleur que celle de la carrosserie.

Launched in late 1992, the Mini "The Italian Job" was a limited series produced by Rover in very small numbers and available exclusively in the UK and Italian markets. It was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1969 film "The Italian Job", whose star cars were three white, red and blue Mini Mk1s. 750 units were produced for the Italian market and 1,000 for the UK market (source: Rover).

Today, these cars are rare to find, and very often in non-original condition. Rover produced a specific badge for this model, visible in a classic position on the bonnet. The badge takes the shape of the Rover logo and consists of the words 'The Italian Job' with both the English and Italian flags. The bonnet stripes are black with two thin white stripes.
On this model, they have not been applied after painting because of the owner's taste.

The limited edition Mini 'The Italian Job' was only available in four colours: Flame Red, White Diamond, British Racing Green and the rare Electric Blue. It was not possible to order it with a white roof or, generally speaking, in a colour other than that of the bodywork.
